About Us

John Urban of Cellar Door has helped the Wheatley area customers make over 360,000 bottles of great tasting wine. John’s passion for winemaking was inherent from his grandfather. His grandfather owned and operated a vineyard, in Trieste Italy, prior to moving to Ontario.

John helped and learned from his Grandfather while in Chatham Ontario. The next time you’re in the store see if you can spot some of his Grandfather’s original barrels and equipment from their winemaking days.

John loves to share his fun and easy winemaking process with his customers, providing them the best wines.
